The inspiration behind this piece is to illuminate the realm of a child's imagination during the night.

By strategically placing the “curtain” in front of a light source (such as a window that has street lamps outside), I aim to bring their imagination into the physical realm of their bedroom. The process involved the integration of various knitting structures, specifically pointelle, twill, and relief. These techniques were meticulously employed to create a textured tapestry that not only visually engages the observer but also interacts with ambient lighting to cast intricate shadows on surrounding surfaces. The interplay of light and shadow adds depth to the castle imagery, transforming the mundane act of sleep into a time of endless possibilities.

This piece is an ode to the magic knitted into the fabric of childhood. Through the careful combination of traditional knitting techniques and imaginative design, I aimed to turn an ordinary bedroom into a haven where dreams take center stage, and the line between reality and fantasy become blurred.
